Requesting materials
We are glad to share published reagents and tools with other laboratories. If something from one of our papers is not listed on this page, email maciejoj@mskcc.org and include:
- the specific material you need
- the publication and, where relevant, the figure it appears in
- your institution and the name of the person who will receive it
A few practical notes. Transfers are arranged through MSK and most require a material transfer agreement, so allow time. Some cell lines used in our work came from repositories or from other laboratories and carry their original terms, which means we cannot always redistribute them or their derivatives. Where that is the case we will tell you where to obtain the parental line. Requests relating to unpublished work are handled case by case.
Antibodies
APOBEC3A is difficult to detect in cells. It is expressed at very low levels and it is closely related to APOBEC3B, so distinguishing the two is a recurring problem. We generated monoclonal antibodies to address this, and two clones are available from MilliporeSigma. Both are validated in Petljak et al., Nature 2022 and Dananberg and Maciejowski, Methods in Cell Biology 2024.
Anti-APOBEC3A, clone 01D05 (MABF3363)
APOBEC3A-specific. Mouse monoclonal, IgG1λ, raised against an N-terminal peptide. Suitable for western blot, immunofluorescence, and ELISA.

Anti-APOBEC3A/B/G, clone 04A04 (MABF3373)
Pan-reactive. Mouse monoclonal, IgG1κ, raised against a C-terminal peptide from APOBEC3B, and detects APOBEC3A, APOBEC3B, and APOBEC3G. Suitable for western blot.
Plasmids
Plasmids from published work are deposited with Addgene.
